SENSITIZATION WORKSHOP

The workshop is a partnership initiative among Life Haven Center for Independent Living, an organization of persons with disabilities; Invictus PH, a digital marketing and communications agency; and the Digital Marketing Association of the Philippines. The initiative aims to strengthen disability-inclusive communication and accessibility practices across the marketing, advertising, and digital communications industry through practical learning sessions for DMAP members.

Many communication teams want to make their content more inclusive but have limited exposure to disability and accessibility in practice. Accessibility is often approached as a technical requirement focused on captions, alt text, or compliance standards. In practice, inclusive communication requires understanding how persons with disabilities access, consume, and experience information across digital platforms.

Without this understanding, important information becomes inaccessible, campaigns unintentionally exclude audiences, harmful stereotypes and inaccurate representation persist, public advisories fail to reach people during emergencies, and digital campaigns lose audience reach and engagement.

Life Haven brings lived experience, technical knowledge, and practical application. The training combines disability rights principles with real-world communication and marketing examples relevant to agencies and brands.
